NRL stands by tough stance on fighting

AAP The NRL says it won't back down from its hardline stance on fighting despite widespread condemnation of the strict interpretation of its new rule after four players were sin-binned in State of Origin II. A number of players past and present as well as both Origin coaches added their voice to calls for the 'one-punch and you're off' edict - which was brought in after Paul Gallen's flurry of punches in the Origin opener - to be reversed....
